“Mummy, what language is that they are speaking? “… Children will be curious to know the answer to this question in the valleys around the Sellastock! And the answer is: Ladin!
Dolomites… home of the Ladins
The Ladin language developed around 2000 years ago out of a mixing of roman and rhaetian culture and is still spoken today in the narrow valleys of the Dolomites. A cultural aura has grown up around this language with its own ethnic identity, mentality, music and cuisine. Today there are still some 30,000 Ladins who study their mother tongue in school and keep it alive by daily use!
The Dolomite Mountains… a UNESCO world natural heritage site
The grand and imposing peaks of the Dolomites offer the most immediately impressive sight: the Sella Gruppe, Geisler Gruppe, Puez Gruppe, Rosengarten, Langkofel, Prags Dolomites, Sexten Dolomites, Marmolada and many more! But the many footpaths, adventurous fixed rope routes and breathtaking cliff-top paths also catch the eye!

Dolomites… the pale mountains
The pale mountains, as the Dolomites are also known, are ever changing colour: in the mornings they glitter in the sunrise and in the evenings they glow red in the sunset! The blooming alpine pastures, green woods and idyllic mountain lakes form a wholly unspoilt natural landscape.
Be prepared to be bewitched… by the unique beauty of the UNESCO cultural heritage site of the Dolomites!
