The
Pustertal Valley, also known as the “green valley” on account of its woods, meadows and nature parks, is the most easterly valley in the South Tyrol. At an altitude ranging between 700 and around 1600 m, it stretches from Brixen to the border with East Tyrol. Lush
meadows and dark
forests are typical of the lower Pustertal Valley area. Towering above the upper region of the valley are the imposing
peaks of the Sexten and Lienzer Dolomites.
Vals lies at the gateway to the Pustertal Valley in the heart of the Pfunder mountains!
