The Eisacktal Valley in beautiful South Tyrol

Where the south begins…

The Pustertal Valley, also known as the “green valley” on account of its woods, meadows and nature parks, is the most easterly valley in the South Tyrol. At an altitude ranging between 700 and around 1600 m, it stretches from Brixen to the border with East Tyrol. Lush meadows and dark forests are typical of the lower Pustertal Valley area. Towering above the upper region of the valley are the imposing peaks of the Sexten and Lienzer Dolomites.

Vals lies at the gateway to the Pustertal Valley in the heart of the Pfunder mountains!

Where the south begins…

The South Tyrol’s Eisacktal Valley stretches from the Brenner Pass to Bozen. The most significant places in the Eisacktal Valley are three medieval towns: Sterzing, a town grown up around the Fugger dynasty, the town of Brixen and medieval Klausen. The Eisacktal Valley boasts wonderful nature as well as numerous art monuments, good local wines and dishes and lots of events !

The Eisacktal Valley is renowned for its good wine. And in autumn you can experience the tradition of “Törggelen”…
